Global Gods: Start with a lottery system - Chapter 414
c-1 Closing remarks
If I chose the God Stream for my first book, I actually wanted to write the Infinite Stream. When I started writing, I felt that this combination of the Academy Stream plus Infinite Dungeons plus Data was something I could write, so I tried it. I wanted to write up to a million words, but it was really a journey of a hundred miles, and I couldn’t even get halfway. I didn’t know how to write, and the rest was all torture.
After trying it out, I found that the concept of a newcomer considering what subject matter he is suitable for when writing a book is actually a fallacy. The more important thing about a novel is the ups and downs of the plot, the growth of the characters, etc.
The driving force for wanting to write a book may be having a very interesting setting, a worldview that I really want to write about, which can sustain the author’s creative enthusiasm.
But in the end, it is the ups and downs of the plot that can support the whole book, and it is the profound characters that can enrich the plot.
When I wrote this book, I had a very vague concept of the plot structure, relying entirely on my feelings, and I basically didn’t shape the characters. But to be honest, without hundreds of thousands of words, I really couldn’t experience these at all. Only after writing hundreds of thousands of words can I vaguely feel the problem.
I lack too much writing skills. Of course, I also analyzed other great works and read some books to learn.
Dialogue, plot arrangement, rhythm, including what useful things to write in the transition chapter (introducing the next volume of characters, or interacting with friendly forces and subordinates, arranging the growth line of supporting characters, etc.) are all very particular. I won’t go into details here. There are tutorials in many places on the Internet. Combining experience, I still have a lot of insights.
I will share what I have learned in the past year. I hope that the next book can bring a better reading experience to all friends.
Thank you again to the book friends who can see this chapter and support me when I am so young. I am grateful for meeting you. Thank you!
See you in the next book!
