- Chapter 352 - Old friends never meet again
Khalil was stunned and burst into laughter: “This is impossible!”
“Why isn’t it possible?”
Granwhite asked as he walked out of the cave carrying a huge travel bag.
“Because the Vader I know doesn’t know magic, and is still a little fool who can only read!”
Khalil said confidently: “He must be wearing thick glasses now and studying advanced mathematics or chess at St. Paul’s Public School. Maybe he will be bullied by his classmates, hoping that I will avenge him!”
The two of them were focused on the conversation, and they walked past Wade, completely unaware of the peregrine falcon hiding among the fallen leaves and weeds at the edge of the cave entrance.
After all, the peregrine falcon that Wade transformed into is not yet fully grown. When it folds its wings, it is about the same size as an ordinary crow, and its dark feathers provide excellent concealment at night.
Grantwhite said speechlessly: “I’ve told you before, watch less TV. Do you think people who study well are the same nerds as on TV?”
Khalil said confidently: “That’s Vader – although he may not wear glasses.”
“Boy, don’t mess with me, listen -“
Granwhite said in a serious tone: “The Wade Gray I’m talking about is the person you know, but he is not a bullied nerd, but a budding genius alchemist!”
Khalil seemed so shocked that he didn’t speak for a while.
The two stepped on the thick branches and leaves on the ground and walked along the path in the forest, making a crunching sound under their feet.
It was very dark in the forest, but they still easily avoided all the obstacles on the road without using any lighting.
Vader silently followed in the air behind him, stopping from time to time to stagger a distance.
In order to avoid being discovered, he couldn’t get too close. Fortunately, the forest was very quiet and Wade could clearly hear the conversation between the two.
“Wade Gray is now very valued by Dumbledore. He invented the Mirror, the Book of Friends and the Golem, and is the partner of Aslan’s Magic Workshop.”
Grantwhite continued: “The Mirror and the Book of Friends are actually nothing. The leader wants to get the method of making the golem, and even sent people to sneak into Aslan’s magic workshop for this purpose.”
“But later, our people discovered that the production of the golem was split into dozens of steps, and it was completely kept secret from the beginning of the production of magic materials. Even if we bribed one or two of the employees, there was no way to obtain this technology ”
“There are only a handful of people in the world who have completely mastered the method of making golems. Among them, Wade Gray is the easiest to obtain and the most valuable.”
“The leader hopes that we can get the production method of the golem from Wade Gray, and it is best to convince him to take the initiative to serve us.”
“So do you understand, Khalil? Why are you, a brat who has not graduated from the training camp, sent out on this mission?”
The warm and cheerful smile on Khalil’s face had long since disappeared. He was silent for a long time before whispering:
“So what are we going to do? Kidnap Vader… kidnap Gray?”
Granwhite shook his head: “More than a month ago, the action team took a risk and tried once, but all the people sent were wiped out… We don’t even know who did it.”
“Now that Vader Gray has returned to Hogwarts, with Dumbledore here, it is almost impossible to take Vader Gray away.”
“But I heard that there are people from us in that school.” Khalil asked tentatively: “Can’t we use the door key…”
“Silly boy, tracking the portkey is easier than you think! Do you want to expose the organization’s secret base to a great magician like Dumbledore?”
Grantwhite said with his eyes widened, his fear of Dumbledore evident.
He patted the young man on the head and lectured: “It seems that you didn’t listen well in class, or you didn’t get enough whipping!”
Khalil said with a smile: “You can’t blame me, the theory class is too boring – what does the leader want me to do?”
“We can’t be impatient. We need to wait for the opportunity. First change your appearance and find a chance to meet Wade Gray… Since we have been friends since childhood, even if you change your appearance, it should be easy to establish friendship…”
Grantwhite subconsciously lowered his voice when talking about their plan.
After talking for a while, Khalil asked: “Can you think of a way for me to transfer to Hogwarts? I am outside and he is in school, so he has no chance to perform tasks.”
“What do you think Hogwarts is – a Muggle school?”
Grantwhite said angrily: “You can transfer to another school, but I’m afraid that as soon as you step in, your true identity will be exposed – I heard that there is a profound magic that can reveal a person’s true name.”
“No one can tell how much protective magic has been applied to a school like Hogwarts that has a history of thousands of years, so if you want to sneak in with a disguised identity, forget it!”
Although Granwhite was reprimanding Khalil verbally, he was actually scolding the colleagues who took Khalil away for not handling the follow-up well.
If the disappearance of underage wizards had not caused an uproar in the British wizarding community, Khalil would now be able to enter Hogwarts as a transfer student.
In this way, when old friends reunite, no matter what they do, it will be much smoother.
Khalil yawned and did not take Granwhite’s words seriously.
He raised his head slightly and looked at the lights of the Muggle town in the distance, his blue eyes looking very clear.
They walked into the town, knocked on the door of a shabby hotel in the middle of the night, and stayed there.
The birds at night were startled by the knocks and flew up, then fluttered down.
Two dark brown owls were perched on the branches outside the hotel window. They were turning their heads to look for mice, and suddenly there was a bird behind them.
The owls turned their heads 180 degrees and stared at the peregrine falcon behind them seriously, making a “whoosh, whoosh” sound.
The peregrine falcon stared at them straight.
Fortunately, these two owls were long-eared owls, flying slowly and with good tempers. If they were eagle owls, they would probably have jumped up to cause trouble for the peregrine falcon.
So Wade saw that the owl, which seemed to have a pair of squirrel ears, moved a few steps to the side to give him enough space, and then the long-eared owl stared at the sparrow on the nearby electric wires, as if in a daze.
The peregrine falcon accepted the kindness from the owl and moved forward two steps. The three birds stood side by side, and at first glance they looked very harmonious.
Wade was very satisfied with his current position. He didn’t even need to turn his head to see Caryl and Granwhite who had just entered the guest room.
After the two put down their packages, they didn’t rest immediately.
Caryl pushed the TV aside, stuffed a scarlet lollipop into his mouth, took out the mirror, sat on the bed and continued to stare at the outer wall of the Hog’s Head.
Granwhite took out a pen and a notebook, and when he opened it, several photos fell out of it.
He cursed and leaned over to pick it up.
Peregrine narrowed his eyes slightly.
He saw photos of the werewolves Will and Lupin, as well as the female werewolf Claire.
