The Wind and the Eagle Wings at Hogwarts - Chapter 581
c581 Bonus 006. Noah’s Fantasy Journey (Part 3)
“This looks more like a place where wizards live.” Noah whispered.
The street in front of him undoubtedly satisfied his fantasy of magic stories.
Unlike the spacious and bright new town outside, this street looks narrow and dark, and all the buildings are like building blocks built by a clumsy child, randomly stacked and crooked.
Even the three-story building in front of the brightly colored “Weasley Joke Shop” looks a bit weird in such an environment.
In such an environment, the group of freshmen and their Muggle parents have become visibly restrained.
“Please don’t worry.”
Jacob turned around and smiled gently.
“There is no danger here.”
As he said, he led everyone to the depths of the street.
Along the way, Noah saw many old and familiar signs, all of which were shops they had visited in the new town.
For example, Flourish and Blotts, Partridge’s Cauldron, Madam Malkin’s Robe Shop, Eeylops Owl Shop, Gringotts Wizarding Bank…
Finally, they walked to the end of the street and saw the sign of Ollivander’s Wand Shop.
This is a very shabby shop. The mottled handwriting above the door reads [Established in 382 BC], silently telling its ancient history.
Through the dim glass window, they could only see the dim and crowded scene in the shop.
Jacob pushed open the door of the shop and turned back to say to everyone: “Line up, one family at a time, and the others should wait in place before the people who come in buy their wands, don’t run around.”
Hearing this, Noah’s father Tarquin immediately used his strong body to grab the first place in the team, and pulled his wife and son to follow Jacob into the shop.
Then, the door of the shop closed.
“Mr. Ollivander.”
Jacob greeted, and the shop was still quiet.
Noah looked curiously at the crowded cabinets in the store and the long boxes piled up in the cabinets.
“Mr. Ollivander!”
Jacob raised his voice and shouted, and the sound of something falling to the ground came from inside the store.
“Don’t be so loud.”
A hunchbacked old man walked out slowly from the darkness behind the cabinet, muttering in dissatisfaction.
He looked very old, walked unsteadily, his face was full of wrinkles and age spots, and his eyelids were drooping.
“I’m so glad to see you’re still alive.”
Noah heard Professor Kent say this bluntly.
“Otherwise I can only take these freshmen to the territory of those Germans to buy wands.”
Mr. Ollivander took out a pair of glasses from his pocket with a trembling hand and put them on, then widened his eyes.
Noah noticed that the eyes of this old gentleman were very light in color, almost transparent.
“It’s you, Jacob Kent.” The old man said dissatisfiedly, “Sorry to disappoint you… I said that Ollivander’s Wand Shop would not leave Diagon Alley before I died.”
“You are so stubborn.”
Jacob shrugged his shoulders.
“Okay, get to work, this young gentleman needs to buy a wand.”
As he said, he pushed Noah in front of Mr. Ollivander.
Mr. Ollivander came closer and stared at Noah’s face, scaring Noah to take two steps back.
“Oh, another new student at Hogwarts?”
“Yes… yes, sir.”
“Stretch out your dominant hand!”
“Okay…”
Noah felt that the process of buying a wand was very strange.
Mr. Ollivander first measured him with an automatic tape measure, and then took the trouble to bring out different wands for him to hold and try to wave.
In the process, he caused some troubles of varying sizes more than once, making a mess of the wand shop, but Mr. Ollivander didn’t care.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a customer as picky as you… Ha!”
The old man became a little excited and bent over to search.
“Try this!”
He took out a black box and took out a black wand from it and handed it to Noah.
Noah reached out to take the wand.
Instantly, he felt that the chaotic energy in his body became calm.
As he waved it gently, a small white flower grew on the tip of the black wand.
“That’s it!”
Mr. Ollivander smiled happily.
“Ebony with dragon nerves, twelve and a quarter inches long, a one-to-one imitation of a big shot’s wand.”
He looked very proud and came to Noah.
“Of course, the original one is also my work.”
“How is it possible?”
Noah heard Professor Kent’s unbelievable voice.
He turned his head and saw that Professor Kent, who had always had little expression, finally changed his face.
He looked at Noah in surprise, as if he was looking at someone else.
“Also from Hastings, are they relatives?” He muttered in a low voice.
“What…what happened?”
Noah looked at the wand in his hand, not knowing what was wrong.
“Nothing, this is a good thing.”
But Jacob was unwilling to say more.
“Well, since you have got your wand, pay quickly and wait outside.”
Noah could only walk out of the wand shop with his parents with a somewhat uneasy heart.
While waiting, Noah held the wand and kept guessing.
“Who is the big shot they are talking about?”
He was extremely curious.
“Okay.” Mother Chara patted his head, “When you come here to go to school, you will know everything.”
Tarquin muttered, “It sounds like he’s also from Hastings. Maybe he’s a guy we know.”
The small town of Hastings is not large, and most residents there know each other.
“Not a lot of people have left town over the years,” Charla said. “I can’t think of any big names coming out of Hastings.”
Tarquin’s eyes lit up, “Maybe it’s the Trollope family. They have been away for more than twenty years.”
“No, they just immigrated to Spain.” Charla denied, “It’s not that the old Trollopes have never come back over the years. They still keep their old house.”
“Then I don’t know.” Tarquin shook his head.
From an angle that the couple didn’t see, Noah’s eyes lit up.
He knew who the big shot Professor Kent was talking about.
It must be that Mr. Trollope!
Mr. Trollope was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Trollope, as his parents said, and Noah had seen him in Hastings.
Noah had always felt that the gentleman and his wife looked mysterious, completely different from the people around them, and could not even fit into the atmosphere of a seaside town like Hastings.
Thinking about it now, a certain temperament about them seemed very much like the wizards he saw in the magical world.
This discovery excited Noah.
But he told no one his suspicions. When he returned to Hastings and waited for the start of school, he often walked around the street where the Trollope family’s old house was, trying to see the mysterious gentleman again.
However, his wish seemed to be in vain.
The owner of the old house never showed up, and only people from the agency came to maintain the house regularly.
It wasn’t until a few days before school started that he stepped onto that street again and saw the mysterious gentleman sitting in the garden drinking tea with his wife.
Noah ran outside the garden gate excitedly.
However, the moment he met the other person’s eyes, his mind went blank and he didn’t know what to say.
It was only then that he realized that his behavior seemed a bit impolite and dangerous.
This summer vacation, he has read a lot of books about common sense in the magical world, and he knows that many wizards have weird tempers, especially those powerful wizards.
“Yes…I’m sorry…it was me…I offended…”
Noah stammered.
At the same time, his heart was full of regrets, and his mind began to imagine his tragic ending uncontrollably.
Maybe he would turn me into a mouse, and my parents wouldn’t recognize me, but would just think I was missing.
“No, I won’t turn you into a mouse.”
Scott looked at the little guy outside the door amusedly, and spoke gently.
“You, you know what I’m thinking?”
Noah’s eyes opened even wider.
“Of course, I also know your name.”
Scott waved his hand and the garden door opened automatically.
“Come in, Noah, Jacob told me about you.”
Noah, standing outside the door, hesitated for a while.
But driven by curiosity, he mustered up the courage to walk into the garden.
“excuse me.”
He tugged at the corners of his clothes, trying to look more polite and well-behaved.
Scott said to Luna: “I think maybe he’s a Gryffindor.”
Luna said: “It could also be Slytherin.”
Scott nodded in agreement, “That makes sense.”
“Come and sit, little one.”
Luna stood up with a smile, led the boy to the table, sat down, and took out tea to share with him.
“Thanks.”
Feeling the kindness and kindness of the woman, Noah couldn’t help but relax a little.
After that, the couple no longer cared about Noah’s existence and started chatting on their own.
Their chat was very informative.
Magic, magical animals, potions, the institutions of the wizarding world, or a friend are all topics of conversation.
Noah didn’t ask any questions, just listened quietly.
Noah couldn’t understand most of the content at all, but he listened very carefully and even forced himself to write it down.
This will definitely be useful.
he thought to himself.
A few years later, Noah, who was already a senior in Slytherin House, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, often thought about this scene.
“It was a fantastic afternoon.”
In order to integrate into the college, he shared that experience with friends he met at school more than once, and his friends always listened tirelessly and cast envious eyes on him.
Likewise, Noah thanked his 11-year-old self more than once.
He really tried hard to remember a lot of what Mr. and Mrs. Trollope talked about.
Although they were just chatting casually, the content of the chat that he forcibly remembered helped him a lot in the days that followed.
But unfortunately, perhaps because of Noah’s story, many people tried to go to the old house in Hastings to meet Mr. Trollope. After that, no one could get close to it.
And Noah never saw Mr. Trollope again.
But he had already decided to take the exam for the Asgard Magic University after completing the courses at Hogwarts.
He wanted to use his own strength to come to Mr. Trollope openly, apologize to him, and thank him.
Noah’s story is over.
But the extra chapter is not over yet. The next extra chapter is Scott’s final story, about whether to choose immortality.
